What a surprise! In our rapidly changing times where organizations are asking
people to do more with less and cynicism seems to be the norm, we fully
expected the vast majority of respondents to answer in the negative.

1.My work is exciting, ever changing, and challenging.
2. The people I work with are wonderful, we care for each other.
3. I have free reign, autonomy, independence, and flexibility to show my
ability.
4. I am appreciated, recognized, valued.
5. Management is supportive and trusts you.
6. The boss works with you and does not micro manage.
7. I get to work with a lot of different people.
8. There is constant variety in what I do.
9. I enjoy coaching and teaching others.
10. My attitude; work should be fun, it is not me versus them.
The payoffs of work being fun:
1. I love my job!
2. I have a real sense of self worth!
3. I am motivated giving more than 100%.
4. I am in better health and have better family relationships.

1. I work for an autocratic manager.
2. The organization is a stifling, centralized, vertically structured

5. The work is too routine, not exciting.
